joint venture ownership in the ambulatory care business.
Thanks to new and innovative
diagnostics and treatment, more medical procedures
can now be done in an outpatient setting, no longer
requiring patients to be admitted to hospitals. Ambulatory
medicine increases patient independence while reducing
the cost of medical care. Ambulatory care centers
are an effective and efficient alternative to hospital
based procedures for providers, payors and patients
and are recognized as a low cost and effective health
delivery system.
